Thank you so much for this audio gem. My take-away bit is “do we want our kid to say, ‘I have a problem, I think I will go off by myself and think about it.’ No, we want them to talk about it; work it out by talking with others. That’s what we want schools to teach.”
2 Diane Cox { 08.04.09 at 6:49 pm }: Hi Bob - thank you for these BLC09 podcasts - I have been inspired by them. A colleague of mine visited the conference and now I can discuss some of the themes with her and how to spread the word. Picking up on Alan’s fact that uk school websites end in “.sch.uk” - what do US school webnames look like? So we can return the favour? (By the way that’s the right spelling…..;) hmm maybe I should google the answer to that too
I’m going to work on that custom search engine idea for my school.
