calls you a name,

laughs at your shoes,
says you can’t play the game

this person wants
to dance with you

to pop your great day

like a balloon
with a rusty, dull pin

you can:
dance with them

and watch your whole day
deflate down as flat as the tar

or, you can:
keep on keeping

your wonderful
