    Bob-

Thanks for reviewing Swaptree, and glad you like the site so far.

Please let us know of any idea or new features you think we can implement. We are excited about rolling out some programs for schools and teachers in the near future. Well keep you posted.

I loved this. I was in the garden and shaking my head and answering your questions! When was the last time I was NOT a tourist in school, good question.

I was in D.C. last summer and was surprised to find that those that actually DO live there don’t soak in the opportunities around them the way we might imagine that they would! I was there as part of a conference, and a new friend took me on a tour and told me that when she first moved to the area, she thought she’d be visiting a new place every week, much like you were saying in your podcast. But she found that she has had to force herself to go somewhere once a month, or she would forget and just go on about her life.
Didn’t want to destroy your analogy, but this occured to me, and wanted to share it.
Your thoughts are definitely worth pondering. I like to post URL’s for my students to investigate further later.

    Ed,

That is so interesting, and so true, isn’t it? I met many people down there who never go “downtown”. Are we in fact, all tourists?
