I listened to your podcast on the way to a meeting, frantically scribbling down sites you mentioned as I drove in my car. I love hearing you talk. Some points:

    1. I would recommend Bob use Moodles for his students. It’s an amazing resource for publishing student work and integrating response functions.

    2. Multi-tasking is different than blog-annotating a lecture or discussion. There is lots of research that suggests that we need to help students focus, not multi-task. We rob all tasks when we try too many things at once. Using more of our brain moves us closer to mental illness, where the world overwhelms us; the more focus we have, the less neuron activity occurs in the brain. Johnson’s MIND WIDE OPEN to learn more about this.

    3. Truly an outstanding collection of resources. Thank you!

I listened to this podcast doing what you guys were talking about - driving in the car.
I agree with what Todd is saying above about multi-tasking. I think it is a myth in lots of ways and what we need to be doing as teachers is encouraging children to focus on one thing at a time and do their best, thereby maximising their achievement, not multitask to the max.
I liked the ideas in the show about collaborative writing on-line. I have used Jotspot a bit with teachers and while it is a good tool it is cumbersome to then put into a wordprocessor.
Cluster maps are very cool! Much easier to use than Frappr.
I often share your shows as part of my work her in New Zealand working with ICT PD Clusters! keep up the good work ….

I am listening to you latest pod cast. I am part of a cohort learning the basic of blogging. I have been podcasting my students original music for a while though. I was wondering if we might collaborate? perhaps you could use some of our music to spice up you podcast. Perhaps we could do a intro for you ?

As I listened to you discuss LibraryThing, I was reminded of one way to use del.icio.us:
Go to a book’s page on Amazon, and bookmark that URL on delicious, tagging it with “recommended_reading” or “books” or whatever.
I also tag amazon pages with “wishlist”.
