Bit by Bit will be publishing a new show, starting tomorrow: “Seedlings @ Bit by Bit.”

This will be a monthly show that (at least at the time being) will be hosted on Bit by Bit. It brings together some wonderful educators who were part of the SEED project in Maine.

SEED was a 6 year grant, serving teachers across Maine:

SEED provided a unique professional development network for teachers who want to integrate technology into their classrooms. Because teachers learn best from other teachers, SEED supported teachers teaching teachers to use technology to achieve Maine’s Learning Results. SEED recognized, celebrated, supported and spread high-quality teaching and learning with technology.

The Seedlings’ first show will be published tomorrow in the Bit by Bit feed (as well as on this website).

If you haven’t checked out Cheryl Oakes’s (one of the Seedlings!) new site yet, then head on over there and see/hear a great use for using Podcasts in the classroom. Cheryl is currently on sabbatical and is using the podcasts to send weekly messages to her students. Way to go Cheryl! What an engaging and authentic use of technology in the classroom!

    Hi Bob!
I’ve stumbled upon Bit by Bit almost by accident but what a gem! I’m excited as well about Seedlings and look forward to learning a lot through the podcasts.

I’m currently working on a video episode of my own as to how teachers are using blogs in their classrooms and with your blessings I’d like to point viewers to your podcast on how and why your students blog.

    Keep up the great work!
