It Ain’t about the Technology
Dean Shareski sums up the BLC experience well for me which is good because I’ve hardly had time to get my hands on my own blog/podcast. I love what Dean’s wife said: that this experience is almost like going to camp. Yeah. Definitely. I never went to camp as a kid, but now feel like I have.

But it’s Dean’s main point that really tells it all for me: that the conversations weren’t about “technology” but rather about learning.

One thing that really hit me at BLC is that with all of the amazing “Social Networking” tools out there, the actual F2F is essential and needs to happen for me at least every couple of years. It’s one thing to be a fan/reader of these great bloggers. It’s an entirely different and amazing experience to be having impassioned debates/conversations on the bow of the Boston Harbor Cruise with them.

I’ve been to many great conferences, but BLC was total immersion for me. I feel like it’s taken me to a new level of connectedness…
