Students Wanting to Help

A group of students gave up their recess and had a lunch meeting to discuss what they can do to help the Tsunami victims. They decided to go off and independently brainstorm ideas, and then charted the ideas as a group.

Their first course of action is to write letters to Ms. Horne to discuss some of their ideas and get permission to carry some of them out.

They asked to present their ideas to the rest of the class and were able to get more students interested in helping out with the effort.

They did all this independent of adult assistance.

I feel so fortunate to be able to spend my days with such amazing, caring leaders!
